Practicing Connectivism through Social Networking

Upon watching Alan Levine's consortium video, it was clear that I need to branch out and learn more methods for linking students to technology through Connectivism. In order to learn more about technology use in the classroom, I decided to join the Flipped Learning Network. The Flipped Learning Network allows teachers to actively engage with other teachers of the same content (or even branch out to other teachers) in order to receive support, resources and additional networking. By using the following network, teachers are able to actively share ideas through an online forum with other teachers globally. This website actively encourages life-long learning that prevents stale teaching tactics.

  1. I feel like the worst thing we can become is stale. While some things are tried-and-true and deserve a place in the lesson books year after year, innovation has to be there in order to survive in this teaching environment.
